DELAND, Fla., January 4, 2018 Florida Hospital DeLand has selected Cat Cruz to serve as the new director of human resources (HR) and HR business partner.
Florida Hospital DeLand has nearly 1,000 employees, and in her new role, Cruz will oversee and support all employee-related programs to ensure strategic and mission-centric alignment to the hospitals goals and priorities.
Cruz has over 18 years of experience in human resources and most recently served as HR director for Sonny's BBQ Corporate in Maitland, Florida.
She earned a certification in law enforcement from the Osceola County Criminal Justice Academy and Bachelors of Arts in Criminology from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Cruz served as a board member of the Homeless Community Hope Center of Osceola County, as well as the Florida Assertive Community Treatment, a comprehensive, community-based service assisting those diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness. Cruz also founded Faith on the H.I.L.L.S. to mentor troubled teens with a focus on family reunification.
