WEST VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla., June 14, 2019 – Winifred Adadzi has been selected to serve as the senior director of pharmacy services for both AdventHealth DeLand and AdventHealth Fish Memorial.
In this role, Adadzi is responsible for the design, operation and improvement of the medication distribution process with a focus on patient care and safety for the two AdventHealth hospitals in western Volusia County.
Adadzi has 15 years of experience, of which eight years has been with AdventHealth. She most recently served as the manager of pharmacy services for AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City and provided oversight of daily operations for the pharmacy department, as well as managed all pharmacy clinical services.
A Sanford resident, she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Walden University. Additionally, she is board certified in pharmacotherapy by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties and she has earned the designation of Advanced MAD-ID Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification. MAD-ID is a non-profit entity, incorporated in South Carolina, which provides continuing professional education in the area of infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and antimicrobial stewardship.
