Jamie Harrison has been selected to serve as the internal communications manager for the AdventHealth hospitals located within Lake, Flagler and Volusia counties. This includes AdventHealth DeLand in DeLand, AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, AdventHealth Palm Coast, AdventHealth Daytona Beach, AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares.
In this role, Harrison will oversee strategic communications to support the organization and will be responsible for leading the area’s communication strategies to inform and engage the area’s 8,000 employees.
Harrison has been with the organization for nearly seven years, starting out as a copywriter before becoming the internal communications specialist for AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. Most recently, she served as culture integration specialist at Adventist Health System and was responsible for developing strategic plans in preparation for the organization’s transition to the AdventHealth brand in January.
Harrison graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in journalism and an outside concentration in business administration and earned a Master of Arts in management and leadership from Webster University.
She is an award-winning writer and has received the Florida Public Relations Association’s Judges Award for a feature story, as well as the Florida Society for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing’s Best of Show awards.
Central Florida Division - North Region is the largest hospital system in the area, including AdventHealth DeLand in DeLand, AdventHealth Fish Memorial in Orange City, AdventHealth Palm Coast, AdventHealth Daytona Beach, AdventHealth New Smyrna in New Smyrna Beach, and AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares.
