Chemotherapy (oral or intravenous) is a proven cancer treatment and one of the best breast cancer treatments.
As new medications emerge, we explore how to make them available to you through clinical trials. Your dedicated team of medical oncologists can determine which medications can help you.
Chemotherapy may be the only treatment you receive, but it’s more commonly used along with surgery and radiation therapy.

Radiation therapy is one of the most common types of breast cancer treatments. Our radiation oncologists can target tumors with amazing precision, easing your pain and leaving healthy tissue untouched.
In many cases, radiation is combined with surgery, chemotherapy and other therapies.

Here, you’re in the hands of experienced surgeons with a primary focus on breast cancer. Two types of breast cancer surgery are lumpectomy and mastectomy.
Lumpectomy
Also called partial breast surgery, a lumpectomy is for tumors that can be removed while leaving normal breast tissue remaining. This is typically followed by radiation.
Mastectomy
This is used most often for larger tumors or people with a high risk of genetic breast cancer. The entire breast is removed, and reconstructive surgery may be offered before or after mastectomy.
