Tate Maddox, MD

Tate Maddox, MD is board-certified in Otolaryngology, with a focus in head and neck surgery. He is accepting new patients at AdventHealth Medical Group Ear, Nose and Throat at Hendersonville.

Dr. Maddox earned a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and another bachelor’s degree in Biology from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from East Carolina University - Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, NC. He then completed his surgical internship and residency from Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

Dr. Maddox centers his care around the patients and their unique needs. He is passionate about providing an upbeat and welcoming environment and believes that communicating with his patients is key to providing whole-person care.

In his free time, Dr. Maddox enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and watching his alma mater, Wake Forest, play college basketball and football.

I very much enjoy a collaborative approach to care and decision-making. I firmly believe shared decision-making and discussion of options give the best results for patients. To that end, I try very hard to make sure patients fully understand my thought process and how I arrive at my plans of care, especially when we’re considering surgery.
