Biography

Tariq Hamid, MD, is a board certified vascular neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases and conditions of the head, neck and spine, including brain aneurysms and stroke. He is a key member of the stroke program at AdventHealth Ocala, and he is board-certified in five specialties and subspecialties including: Vascular Neurology, Neurology, Neurophysiology, Neurocritical Care and Family Medicine. Dr. Hamid is also certified by the United Council for Neurologic Specialties in Interventional Neurology.

Dr. Hamid is fluent in several languages, including English, Pashto, Hindi and Urdu.

Dr. Hamid believes that a good physician-patient relationship is a key in a patient's treatment. “I listen to my patient's concerns and integrate them in their plan of care," Dr. Hamid said. "I am dedicated to educating my patients and improving their overall wellness.
