Shirley Vega, LPC, MS

Shirley Vega, LPC, was called to the counseling field to advocate for others. She inspires her clients to embrace their full potential while navigating challenges with resilience and grace. Shirley has over 18 years of behavioral health, social work, and management experience. She has provided many levels of care including crisis intervention, outpatient therapy, residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and inpatient care. Additional conditions that she treats include mood disorders, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and coping skills.

Shirley earned a Master of Science in Counseling and Mental Health from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Ana G. Méndez University in Puerto Rico.

Shirley enjoys connecting with others through cooking, sharing meals with friends, and volunteering for various outreach projects. She spends quality time cuddling with her pet dog.

As a therapist, Shirley deeply believes everyone deserves a safe space to be truly heard and treated with dignity. She strives to tailor her approach to each patient’s unique needs, recognizing that there is not a one-size-fits-all in therapy. Throughout the therapeutic process, Shirley incorporates activities that foster connection and encourage self-expression, supporting individuals in their journey toward healing and growth.
