Sam DeStefano, MD, MSE, is an expert neurologist who specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of adults with epilepsy. He is committed to providing whole-person care to every patient. If needed, he evaluates patients for potential surgical options when medications are not working – these options may include removal of a seizure onset area or implantation of devices such as the vagus nerve stimulator (VNS), responsive neurostimulator (RNS) and deep brain stimulator (DBS).
Dr. DeStefano is a born teacher and lifelong learner. He was drawn to the medical field because of his innate curiosity and desire to pass on his knowledge to help others learn and grow.
Dr. DeStefano earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Colorado.
