Dr. Richard C. Sims is a board-certified interventional pain management physician. He brings a number of services to The Orthopedic Clinic including diagnostic procedures to aid in the surgical evaluation of patients, advanced techniques for treating pain, and placement of implantable devices for pain control.
Dr. Richard Sims received his medical degree from the Florida State University College of Medicine. He immediately followed his M.D. with a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Florida, Department of Anesthesiology and then a fellowship there in multidisciplinary pain management.
During his undergraduate and medical education, he received numerous scholarships and honors, including Chronic Pain Outstanding Resident of the Year. He has presented his research and publications on pain management to fellow physicians around the country.
At The Orthopedic Clinic, Dr. Sims sees patients at the following locations: Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, and Port Orange.
In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, tennis, and traveling. He also considers himself a “foodie” and loves trying new restaurants.
