Ravindran Sabapathy, PsyD

Ravi Sabapathy, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist with AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. He provides psychological care for patients at The Bariatric Center of Kansas City, the Center for Pain Medicine and the AdventHealth Shawnee Mission Cancer Center, as well as inpatients in the hospital. His focus is to help treat the patient's pain by providing care for the whole person, often through psychological testing, stress management, goal setting, cognitive behavioral modification and biofeedback.

Dr. Sabapathy completed his undergraduate degree in psychology, with honors, at the University of Missouri-Columbia and earned both his master’s degree and his doctorate in clinical psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology. He completed a clinical practicum at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and he is fellowship-trained in health and medical psychology.

Dr. Sabapathy has been affiliated with AdventHealth Shawnee Mission (formerly Shawnee Mission Health) since 2002 and serves as the director of medical staff well-being for the organization's sizable medical staff. He also serves as a clinical practicum supervisor for the University of Missouri-Kansas City and he has previously worked as a consultant for external organizations, including the Kansas City Chiefs.
