Nicholas Wirtz, MD

As a fellowship trained otolaryngologist, also known as an ear, nose and throat doctor or ENT, Nicholas Wirtz, MD, works as a head and neck surgeon specializing in cancers of the head and neck.

A native of Blue Springs, Mo., Dr. Wirtz earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri, graduating summa cum laude with honors. He then completed his residency at the University of Minnesota, where he served as chief resident and was honored as Outstanding Resident Clinician. He then went on to complete a fellowship in advanced oncologic head and neck surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Wirtz's clinical interests include management of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, robotic surgery, sleep apnea surgery, sinus and nasal obstruction treatment, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and surgical treatment of skin cancer.
