Murtaza Syed, MD, is double-board certified in General Adult and Pediatric Psychiatry. Before joining AdventHealth Medical Group’s psychiatry team in Winter Park, he spent 15-plus years as an on-staff psychiatrist in hospitals and community health centers, primarily in Michigan. A graduate of the esteemed Sind Medical College at the University of Karachi in Pakistan, Dr. Syed completed his residency training at West Virginia University School of Medicine before undertaking a prestigious fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Syed is able to treat patients of all ages and specializes in helping those with depression, adjustment disorder, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, postpartum depression, somatization disorder and psychiatric aspects of various medical illnesses. He is able to integrate psychotherapy with his medication management to provide comprehensive care for his patients.
