Michael Coady, MD, MPH

Michael Coady, MD, MPH, MBA, is a leading cardiothoracic surgeon treating patients 18 and older. Dr. Coady has a wealth of expertise in providing surgical treatment for a full spectrum of cardiothoracic conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, cardiac tumors and aortic aneurysms and dissections.

Dr. Coady is a helper at heart, and beloved by his patients for offering true whole-person support. He’s inspired by the intricacies and precision heart surgery requires surgically and emotionally, and is honored to walk alongside his patients in their most vulnerable times.

Dr. Coady earned his medical degree at George Washington University. Following his degree, he completed his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Stanford University and his residency in general surgery at Yale University. He also earned a master’s degree in public health from Yale University and an MBA from MIT. Dr. Coady is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American Heart Association Board.

Outside of work, Dr. Coady pursues his love of piano, having extensively studied it since age five. He finds that “both piano and cardiac surgery share a need for precision, thoughtful preparation, and deep passion to achieve excellence.
