Megan Hanekom, LPC, LAC

Megan Hanekom, LPC, LAC, has experience with individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She is passionate about mental health services and helping patients to help themselves. Megan helps patients with mood disorders, behavioral health concerns, and substance abuse disorders. The therapy approaches she uses most are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Megan helps her patients accept that mental health should be a priority when patients think about their overall wellbeing.

Megan holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Megan leads a busy life outside of work by playing soccer and video games. She loves spending time with her own pets and also fosters animals through local rescue organizations.

Megan prioritizes creating a safe and comfortable space with patients so that they can be as open as possible. She approaches patient care with the philosophy that everyone is doing the best that they can. Megan loves to empower her patients to build self-efficacy and learn the necessary tools to better manage life's challenges.
