Biography
Maureen Alvarado, DO, is a family medicine physician who obtained her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed a residency in Family Medicine in Augusta, GA where she then served as Chief Resident. Throughout her career, Dr. Alvarado has been recognized for her abilities and expertise. In 2019, 2020, and 2021 she was designated by Texas Monthly Magazine as a Texas Rising Star Doctor, as well as receiving awards from Scene San Antonio Magazine in 2018 and 2021 as one of San Antonio’s Best Doctors. Additionally, Dr. Alvarado has devoted herself to community service and in 2020, was awarded the Commitment to the Community Gold Coin from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio for her dedication to empowering patients and promoting community wellbeing.
