Manuel Fortes, MD

Manuel Fortes, MD, is a board-certified neuroradiologist with over 20 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from Fundaçao Tecnico Educacional Souza Marques Medical School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Dr. Fortes completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and had a clinical fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SC. He further specialized with fellowships in neuroradiology and endovascular surgical neuroradiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Dr. Fortes comes to Orlando Neurosurgery from Fairfax Radiological Consultants in Fairfax, VA, where he was a full partner. Before that, he served at ITEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City, OK, and at Radiology Associates, LLC, in Oklahoma City, OK. Dr. Fortes has a large portfolio of publications in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals in the United States and South America. He has also presented numerous topics at professional events throughout the United States. Dr. Fortes is committed to whole-person care, treating each patient’s body, mind and spirit.
