Laurence Ian Arnold, MD

Laurence Arnold, MD FACS is a board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed his general surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and plastic surgery fellowship at the prestigious Lahey Clinic in Boston. Following fellowship training, Dr. Arnold completed advanced training in hand surgery and microsurgery reconstruction at the Microsurgery Research Center in Melbourne, Australia. Since 1995, he has served as President of Small World Foundation, a 501c3 non profit organization; whose mission is to provide reconstructive surgery to those in the developing world, who have neither the resources nor access to medical care. Since 1991, with almost 30 years of experience, Plastic Surgery of Asheville strives to provide the full spectrum of reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures of the face, breast and body with compassion and expertise.

Dr Arnold is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the Western Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Laurence Arnold was also awarded the Vitals Patients' Choice Award for the past 5 years, Top Doctor Award by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. for 2018-19 and the Good Samaritan Award in 2001 by the Florida Medical Association.
