Kimberly Allison Apple, MD

Dr. Apple has always been naturally drawn to science and biology. After spending time in biological labs, her desire to delve into “hands-on” problem solving led her to become a surgeon.

It was during her first clinical rotation in medical school that she became passionate about surgery. While general surgery provides her with the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, Dr. Apple has a special interest and to help patients with breast cancer.

Dr. Apple’s caring approach to medicine enables her to connect with her patients. She is able to explain complex diagnoses in a way that helps her patients understand their diseases, treatments and recovery processes.

Dr. Apple completed her Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She is married and has one daughter. For relaxation, she enjoys running and playing with her Rhodesian Ridgeback dog.
