Josie Key, PA, is a graduate of South University in Savannah, Georgia, coming to us with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia in Athens, focusing on exercise and sports science. Josie specializes in orthopedics and has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with many orthopedic procedures and issues. She has served as a medical assistant at Kennestone Internal Medicine Associates and has clinical experience in orthopedics, emergency medicine and urgent care. She is driven and detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

My care philosophy is getting people back to doing what they love. I recommend starting with the conservative measures first such as physical therapy, anti-inflammatories or intra-articular injections. I have recommended that patients utilize those until they no longer work for them, or they are no longer able to do the things that they enjoy in life. At that time then I start talking to them about surgical options. As I want to get back to doing all the things they enjoy life as quickly as possible. I try to give my patients the information that I would love for my parents to be given if they were in that situation.
