Joseph E Robison, MD

Specializing in the treatment of painful hand, wrist and elbow disorders, Joseph E. Robison, MD, is a highly experienced, fellowship-trained surgeon, capable of correcting a full range of upper extremity issues. Originally born in Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Robison attended The University of Florida for both his undergraduate degree and medical school training. After medical school, he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the prestigious Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA.

As an avid guitar player and someone who relies heavily on his hands for his profession and personal life, Dr. Robison has a deep understanding of how an injury or ailment can impact his patients’ lifestyles and livelihoods. Because of this, he has dedicated himself to achieving the top level of training possible for a hand surgeon. First, with his fellowship education in hand, upper extremity and microsurgery at The Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. And more recently, he completed the highest certification possible for someone in his field with a Subspecialty Certificate in Surgery of the hand.

Known for his honesty, expertise and respectful demeanor, Dr. Robison is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for each of his patients. He covers a wide spectrum of hand and upper extremity medical needs, with specialties including carpal tunnel syndrome, scaphoid and distal radius fractures, arthritis of the hand, and peripheral nerve surgery.
