Hezi Cohen, MD

Hezi Cohen, MD, joined Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in 2009. He is a primary care physician and a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Cohen received his Bachelor of Science and medical degree from the University of Miami and completed his residency in family medicine, including emergency services, at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Dr. Cohen has memberships with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Volusia County Medical Society. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Civic League of the Halifax Area.

Dr. Cohen serves as the Chief of Medicine for Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, medical director for HealthCare Partners, the hospital’s employed physician group, and as a board member of the Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation.

He serves as a clinical assistant professor at the Florida State University School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen has been involved as principal investigator and sub-investigator in multiple studies on conditions such as osteoarthritis, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches and prevention of the common cold.

Prior to joining Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, Dr. Cohen held a private practice, specializing in family medicine.
