Biography

Dr. Balcells will serve as the Medical Director of Cardiology and lead the development of the new Interventional Cardiology program. He brings with him a wealth of experience in cardiology and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.

Dr. Balcells is board-certified in internal, cardiology and vascular medicine, and is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. He has been providing leading edge heart care to people across the region for the past eight years, with nearly 30 years of patient care experience.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Dr. Balcells values fitness, community connection, and improving community resources to better the lives of those marginalized and disadvantaged by health, income, or life tragedies.

Dr. Balcells believes in treating the person, not just the disease, and offers space and time for patients to share who they are.
