Chad Maurer, MD

Chad Maurer, MD, felt called to Family Medicine so he could develop long-term relationships with patients across the age spectrum. He helps his patients develop confidence and engage in their own medical care. Together, they continue to explore preventative measures to help promote overall health and well-being at any age. Dr. Maurer helps his patients with the following conditions: general primary care including newborn care, pediatric and well-child care, preventative care, general well-being, and chronic disease management (DM, HTN, obesity, dyslipidemia). He performs a number of procedures which include: skin biopsies, cryotherapy, carpal tunnel injections, Morton’s neuroma injections, trigger finger injections, and joint injections. Dr. Maurer believes patients need to feel heard, and he is open to alternative healing avenues.

Dr. Maurer attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical School. He completed his undergraduate work at Kansas State University. Dr. Maurer’s residency was at North Colorado Family Medicine. He belongs to the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP). Before joining AdventHealth Medical Group, Dr. Maurer practiced family medicine for over 10 years in the Greeley area where he spent seven of those years delivering babies. After having babies of their own, Dr. Maurer and his wife made the decision to relocate to the Lafayette area to be closer to their families. He looks forward to continuing his medical career and focusing on his passion of providing services to children in his new community with AdventHealth.

When not helping families be healthier, he enjoys going to church, golfing, biking, and being outdoors. His favorite activity is spending time with his family.

Dr. Maurer enjoys developing relationships with patients with the goals to teach and empower them to be engaged in their own healthcare decisions. He is an active listener and looks to find the root causes of issues, while also trying to minimize long-term risks. He is passionate about continuing to learn more about lifestyle and reversible factors that can be changed to help maintain overall health, lessening the chances of chronic disease.
