Care Philosophy

Dr. Carla Carpenter grew up in the southern suburbs of Chicago. She received her undergraduate degree in Neurobiology from Northwestern University and her medical degree from Des Moines University. She completed her residency training at Michael Reese/University of Illinois combined program. Dr. Carpenter is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Carpenter has been in private practice in the western suburbs since completing her internship and residency. She practices full scope obstetrics and gynecology, including high risk obstetrics. Her special interests include complex vulvar and vaginal dermatologic disorders. Getting to know her patients on a personal level throughout the 20 + years of her practice has been the most unexpected and greatest joy of practicing medicine.
