Barbara Smith, APRN

Barbara Smith, APRN, currently practices at at AdventHealth Express Care at Walgreens in New Port Richey, Florida.

Barbara has always felt a calling to care for others. She became a family nurse practitioner to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Barbara enjoys getting to know her patients and providing the best possible care for their entire family.

Barbara graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She was first a registered nurse in the hospital setting for 15 years, and went on to become a family nurse practitioner in the outpatient primary care setting for the last 10 years. She has a wide range of nursing experience, from sub-acute and long-term care to emergency care and case management for people with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Barbara lives on the water and loves boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, going to the beach and visiting the islands. She also loves spending time with her family, including her husband of 25 years, their children and dogs.
