Alexis Schutz, MD

Alexis Schutz, MD, is a radiation oncologist with the AdventHealth Cancer Institute Shawnee Mission. Dr. Schutz incorporates the latest in radiation oncology treatment, including brachytherapy and MRI-Guided Radiation Therapy, as she provides individualized cancer care for each patient. She understands the hardships that come with a cancer diagnosis and advocates for her patients to receive the best possible treatment while mitigating side effects.

Dr. Schutz's clinical interests include brachytherapy, MRI-Guided Adaptive Radiation, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy, and patient education and wellness.

Her leadership and volunteer service has included co-creating The Practice Accreditation Resident Reviewer Program and serving on various committees for the American College of Radiation Oncology, including a stint as vice chair of the resident committee. She also volunteered at the Ankaful Leprosy Hospital in Ghana, Africa, and was the creator and team leader of the Race to the Summit Wellness Initiative. Her personal interests include hiking, golfing, fishing, skiing, hunting, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with her Golden Retrievers, Hudson and Birdie.

Dr. Schutz joined the AdventHealth Cancer Institute in 2024 and welcomes new patients.
