Abbey Schmeisser, NP

Abbey Schmeisser specializes in helping women navigate their cancer diagnosis journey. As a board-certified nurse practitioner, she helps women with not only their cancer diagnosis, but also the mental and physical obstacles of that diagnosis pre- and post-surgery. Abbey has always had a strong desire to help people, a passion for science and medicine, and love for patient interaction and care.

Abbey completed her undergraduate degree at Research College of Nursing in Kansas City where she worked for Overland Park Regional hospital in the Women’s Unit. After spending over ten years caring and aiding women as an RN, she went back to school to earn her Masters in Nursing, specializing in Women’s Health.

Abbey spends her free time with her kids, so most of her time outside of work is watching them on a sports field or exploring new things with them. She loves to ski and spend time with family and friends.

Abbey wants her patients to know that she has a deep love and care for people. She has a passion for caring for patients and helping with their individual healthcare needs. She strives to provide and incorporate the best treatment plan possible and to make sure her patients feel cared for and heard.
