AdventHealth Winter Park PGY1 Residents

Hyo Min Kim, PharmD

Hometown: Daegu, South Korea
Pharmacy School: Mercer University College of Pharmacy

While Dr. Kim was searching for a residency program in Florida to be closer to home, she had a positive interaction with AdventHealth Winter Park team at the ASHP Midyear meeting. She felt that AHWP offers a very encouraging environment and would be great place to learn about her current interests. Hyo Min is looking forward to learning about her current interests, from Oncology to Emergency Medicine, and to finding new interests as a pharmacy resident. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, seeking out good coffee shops to read books, and attending music festivals. Hyo Min is not new to the Orlando area but loves hanging out with family and friends and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops. Hyo Min is considering PGY2 in an area of interest to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist and to give back to the community.

Itea Thomallari, PharmD

Hometown: Orlando, FL
Pharmacy School: University of Florida College of Pharmacy

Dr. Thomallari chose AdventHealth for residency because of the welcoming and supportive environment filled with very knowledgeable preceptors. Itea is most excited for starting her AdventHealth residency PGY1 to practice as a pharmacist and make a difference that positively impacts all patients. Outside of work, Itea enjoys reading, running, playing tennis, and watching sports. Itea's career goals post-residency are pursing a PGY2 in critical care and eventually becoming the clinical pharmacist for an intensive care unit.
