The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit health care ratings organization, recently released its new fall 2019 Hospital Safety Grades, and numerous AdventHealth hospitals earned high marks in patient safety.
More than 75 percent of eligible AdventHealth hospitals earned an “A” grade, a much higher rate when compared to the national average where only 33 percent of hospitals earned the top grade for meeting the highest safety standards in the U.S.
“This demonstrates our commitment to our service standard, “Keep Me Safe,” and I could not be prouder of our teams and the work they do,” said Bill Scharf, director of patient safety at AdventHealth.
The Washington-based Leapfrog Group uses more than two dozen measures of publicly available data centered on hospital safety to issue grades to more than 2,600 acute-care hospitals across the U.S. twice per year.
