Jessica Brazier has been named vice president and chief diversity and inclusion officer for AdventHealth. Brazier will lead the execution of the organization’s diversity strategy and provide executive oversight of new and ongoing initiatives that continue to build an inclusive culture and embrace a widely diverse workforce. She will report to Olesea Azevedo, senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

In this new role, Brazier will have organization wide responsibility to raise the awareness of diversity and inclusion issues both internally and externally. She will work closely with leaders from across the organization, soliciting and utilizing input from others to build a meaningful, motivational and sustainable approach to diversity and inclusion.
“I’m excited to have Jessica join our team with her wealth of experiences, skills and passion for this work, which I know will greatly contribute to our efforts in building a diverse team and an environment where all team members experience belonging,” said Azevedo.
With over 15 years of leadership experience, Brazier previously served as a management consultant with Deloitte’s Government & Public Services Practice. In this role, she helped government leaders in the national security, health, civilian and state/local sectors implement transformational agendas using strategic communications, stakeholder alignment, learning, change management and diversity and inclusion techniques to drive successful results.
Brazier is also a skilled speaker, trainer, facilitator and coach with a passion for helping organizations achieve mission performance through their most important asset: their people.
“I find this opportunity to be especially meaningful because it exists at the intersection of four things that matter deeply to me: my faith; diversity, equity and inclusion; quality health care; and socially responsible business strategies,” said Brazier. “I’m excited to work with leaders across the organization to ensure we live out our core values in all our interactions: with team members, with patients and with the people in the communities we serve.”
Brazier earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications and English from Oakwood University, located in Huntsville, Alabama. She obtained a Master of Science in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University. Brazier is actively involved in the community and serves on several boards, including Crossing Party Lines, which facilitates nationwide conversations with Americans who see the world differently; and Darisami Foundation, which provides disadvantaged communities in Africa, the Caribbean and America with access to quality, wholistic health care and education.
In her free time, Brazier enjoys singing, planning special events and spending time with her big, boisterous Caribbean family.
