With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs set to square off in Super Bowl LV, health care workers have been a focal point for the NFL and the community. In fact, of the 25,000 fans allowed to attend the game in person, roughly 7,500 of those in attendance will be vaccinated health care workers, including some AdventHealth team members. The game also has special meaning to AdventHealth, with the teams vying for the championship representing two of the health systems largest markets.
‘Gronk’ Surprises Two AdventHealth Team Members with Super Bowl Tickets
Belinda Spahn, a critical care unit nurse manager at AdventHealth North Pinellas, and Heather Stegmeier, an infection control manager at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, got the surprise of a lifetime when Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski surprised them with a personalized video message inviting them to Super Bowl LV. The two front-line caregivers are among 7,500 health care workers with the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl in person.
Super Bowl LV Halftime Performer The Weekend has Meals Delivered to AdventHealth Carrollwood
Team members at AdventHealth Carrollwood received a very special delivery from Super Bowl LV halftime performer The Weekend, thanks to Postmates! In honor of Black History Month, The Weekend had 150 meals from Mama’s Southern Soul Food in Tampa, Florida, delivered to team members at the hospital – many of whom will be able to attend the Super Bowl in person on Sunday.
One of the most highly anticipated sporting events each year, fans enjoy the Super Bowl in many different ways. Regardless of how they take part in Super Bowl festivities, fans are urged to take all the proper COVID-19 precautions to protect themselves and others.
