Free Sports Physicals Aid in Pursuit of Special Olympics Dreams
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Great Lakes Region served as the official medical provider at a recent Special Olympics event. Doctors and medical residents from AdventHealth Medical Group provided free sports physicals for hundreds of athletes preparing to participate in the Chicagoland Special Olympics.
The Medfest event removes financial and logistical barriers for many of the participants, making it easier for more children and adults to enter the Special Olympics.
