Florida Hospital Waterman will host delegates from Denmark for an informational luncheon and tour of the Tavares hospital campus on Thursday, February 23, as part of ongoing world-wide efforts to improve patient safety through the adoption of electronic health record keeping.
The Danish delegates, along with more than 40,000 health IT professionals, are in Central Florida this week to attend the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) annual conference in Orlando. Florida Hospital Waterman earned the prestigious HIMSS Analytics EMRAM Stage 7 designation in 2016 for achieving excellence in electronic health records, and received their award at the conference awards gala on Monday. HIMSS Stage 7 represents the pinnacle of an environment where paper charts are no longer used to deliver patient care.
"Florida Hospital Waterman is making great use of their electronic medical record capabilities, especially when it comes to a holistic care team approach, says John H. Daniels, global vice president of the healthcare advisory services group at HIMSS Analytics.
Florida Hospital Waterman is committed to integrating technology and teamwork to improve the quality, safety and efficiency of care we provide our patients, said Florida Hospital Waterman's President and CEO David Ottati. Were honored to host this reception and share knowledge and best-practices with other leaders in healthcare.
