PALM COAST, Fla., January 19, 2016 Florida Hospital Flagler has promoted Loxie Kistler to serve as infection control manager and preventionist.
In this role, Kistler will promote quality care and patient safety through infection prevention at Florida Hospital Flagler.
Kistler previously served as the hospitals stroke program coordinator and was responsible for implementing American Heart Association guidelines for treating patients suspected of or diagnosed with stroke.
Loxie is a very experienced and educated registered nurse with a passion for teaching and accountability around infection prevention, said Susan Hebert, Florida Hospital Flagler director of clinical effectiveness. We are more than overjoyed to have her as part of our team and look forward to her continued efforts towards making this facility world class.
Kistler has more than 40 years of experience in a variety of roles, including staff nurse, nursing home director, allied health and health care management instructor and program director, and quality management director, among others.
A Palm Coast resident, Kistler holds a bachelors degree in nursing, masters degree in science and a doctorate in education.
