David Huffman has been named senior vice president of finance operations for AdventHealth. In this role, he will have responsibility for operational finance and shared services for finance and supply chain in addition to his current responsibilities. He will assume this role on February 3, 2020, and report to Paul Rathbun, senior executive vice president and chief financial officer for AdventHealth.
Huffman currently serves as senior vice president for iSynergy, AdventHealth’s enterprise resource planning initiative.
“Dave is a collaborative leader who has done a tremendous job leading the iSynergy implementation across our national footprint. As we move into the optimization phase, the time is right for him to take on additional financial leadership responsibilities and to spearhead new finance initiatives in collaboration with our markets,” said Rathbun.
Huffman joined AdventHealth in 2004 and has held many progressive finance leadership positions including vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. Prior to serving AdventHealth, he spent more than 14 years with KPMG, where he specialized in health care accounting and auditing.
“Working with our leaders, project teams and diverse markets to implement iSynergy across our organization was such a great learning experience for me and I look forward to applying that knowledge and collaboration to advance finance operations for AdventHealth,” said Huffman.
Huffman earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an accounting emphasis from Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, and is a certified public accountant.
Dave and his wife Melody have two daughters working on postgraduate degrees and recently welcomed a son-in-law to the family. They enjoy traveling, the beach and skiing, but most of all, time when the family is all together.
