As we start the new year, achieving a healthier lifestyle is a common resolution. Based upon eight principles for healthy living- choice, rest, environment, activity, trust, interpersonal relationships, outlook and nutrition, CREATION Life classes are designed to teach the community how to become mentally fit, physically robust and spiritually vital. Each uniquely designed course combines elements of the eight principles to teach participants a healthier way of life.
CREATION Life classes are focused on health promotion and disease prevention, says Candace Huber, Director of Mission Development, Florida Hospital Waterman. Anyone can receive real health benefits from implementing the lessons taught in each class, whatever their health status.
Held in the Conry CREATION Life center, the classes offered this season include:
- Super Noggin: This 8-session brain fitness program is designed to share the research strategies to maintain and improve memory and cognitive function in adults. Changes in memory occur with normal aging. Learn what is normal, what is not, and how to stay sharp! Workbook includes brain health assignments for 52 weeks!
- Yum- Yum Club: Join in these fun classes and prepare meals with flavor and flair. You will be instructed in food prep by our executive chef and registered dietitian, followed by sample tasting of all recipes prepared.
- Step into Fitness: This 8-session course combines the science of activity and strength building with nutrition so that you experience regained energy and reach your health goals. Includes initial measurements, instruction and practical daily application. Text and workbook included.
