Deo P. Sankar, MD, a board certified and fellowship-trained cardiologist, has your heart in his capable hands. With over 30 years of experience, he's committed to treating you with the utmost care using the today's most innovative techniques. He believes in providing timely diagnosis, limiting unnecessary invasive procedures and using every tool available to make sure you feel whole again. You have his promise to do his very best to care for you in body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Sankar graduated from the University of Havana School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba, performed his residency and fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, earned a fellowship at the Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and is an associate member of the American College of Physicians.
When he isn't serving patients or working along colleagues in the medical community, Dr, Sankar is an avid reader.
