Ryan Thompson, DO

Dr. Thompson is committed to improving health through lifestyle interventions such as nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress management. With his background as a personal trainer, he is particularly skilled at helping patients achieve their health goals. In addition, Dr. Thompson performs a variety of procedures, including steroid injections, hyaluronic acid injections, trigger point injections, skin biopsies and excisions, Nexplanon placement and removal, IUD placement and removal, and acute procedures such as abscess drainage and laceration repairs. He is also trained in and regularly performs osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT). Dr. Thompson is fluent in both in English and Spanish.

Education:

Dr. Thompson earned his bachelor’s degree in nutritional science at Brigham Young University and his medical degree at Midwestern University - Chicago College of osteopathic Medicine. He served in the United States Army for 11 total years and completed his family medicine residency at Womack Army Medical Center. He served as a battalion surgeon for 2-7 CAV at Fort Hood, TX and his final assignment was the officer in charge of the urgent care/trainee clinic at Fort Sill, OK as well as a full time provider.

In his free time Dr. Thompson enjoys spending time outdoors, rock climbing, cooking, general fitness, and time with his family.

Ryan Thompson, DO, cares deeply about his patients' whole health. He treats across the age spectrum, from pediatric to geriatric, and addresses a broad range of conditions, including both chronic and acute illnesses.
