Our Services
- Internal Medicine
-
Our internal medicine providers care for patients age 18 and older with a specific focus on existing illnesses or issues that concern many older adults.
While they offer similar services as a family physician like annual exams, physicals, lifestyle coaching and prescription medication management, internal medicine doctors also help patients manage chronic illnesses that affect the heart, lungs, liver or kidneys, and treat chronic conditions that occur simultaneously. Some of the most common conditions that internists treat include:
- Diabetes
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Joint conditions
- Lung disease
- Respiratory illnesses
- Sleep disorders

- Family Medicine
-
Our family medicine providers offer primary care with an emphasis on health and wellness for patients of all ages. If you have children, many people find it beneficial to choose one doctor for their entire family. This allows the doctor to get to know your family’s unique dynamics and become familiar with family health histories. While they can also treat specific conditions unique to you, a family practitioner may be the right choice for comprehensive, whole-family care.
Because family medicine doctors treat such a wide age range, they also treat many conditions. Family doctors can identify health risks at any stage of life, recommend the right preventive care and treat many illnesses and injuries. Taking a whole-body approach to health and wellness, they address everything from smoking cessation to mental health issues. Family medicine doctors offer:
- Annual exams and physicals
- Health screenings
- Lifestyle coaching
- Prescription medication management
- Treatment for acute conditions such as cold or flu
- Treatment of some chronic conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes
- Vaccines and immunizations

Your body can tell us a lot about what it needs. You can trust us to quickly and accurately figure out what it's saying so that we can help bring you back to wellness.
At AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty South Asheville, you can easily access the medical services you need, when you need them. We offer an on-site laboratory to quickly provide lab services such as blood testing, urinalysis and health screenings.

We'll notify you of your lab results in person, of course, but we can also post your results in your AdventHealth account, allowing you to easily manage your care by making appointments, paying bills, accessing test results, and more.
