DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., July 7, 2016 Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center has named Dr. Kris D. Gray to serve as chief medical officer (CMO). Gray replaces Dr. Ronald Jimenez who became chief executive officer for Florida Hospital Flagler in April.
In this new role, Gray will oversee Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Centers activities and functions related to physicians and patient care, including medical staff services, credentialing, compliance with accrediting bodies, patient satisfaction, infection control and other quality of care measures.

Gray has 23 years of experience with Adventist Health System and most recently served as CMO at Florida Hospital DeLand.
During his tenure at Florida Hospital DeLand, Dr. Gray has demonstrated a keen ability to have all clinicians working collaboratively toward better patient outcomes and improving metrics, said Lorenzo Brown, Florida Hospital DeLand CEO. He is well respected among his peers and employees alike. He will be dearly missed.
Gray, an Apopka resident, earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., and a medical degree from Loma Linda University in California. He completed his family medicine residency at Hinsdale Hospital (now known as Adventist Hinsdale Hospital) in Illinois.
He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, is a Fellow of American Academy of Family Medicine, and served as clinical faculty for the Florida State University College of Medicine.
