Mauricio Orrego, MD

Mauricio Orrego, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician specializing in transplant hepatology. Dr. Orrego treats patients ages 18+ in the Denver area.

Dr. Orrego earned his medical degree from Universidad CES School of Medicine in Medellin, Colombia, before completing two residencies in internal medicine at Universidad de Antioquia and the University of Texas San Antonio Health Science. He also completed a hepatology and liver transplant fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Studies of Liver Diseases (FAASLD.) Dr. Orrego is fluent in Spanish and English.

Dr. Orrego enjoys cooking, traveling, and learning about other cultures in his free time.

Dr. Orrego provides integrative and compassionate care for patients with liver disease. He follows a patient-centric approach to care and ensures his patients are informed, their needs are heard, and they’re well cared for.
