Khawla Amawi, APRN

Khawla Amawi, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse with over ten years of experience. Khawla earned a Master of Science in Nursing/Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in Daytona Beach, FL. She was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015 at Maryland University in St. Louis, MO. Khawla served as an APRN at Advanced Gastroenterology Port Orange, FL, since 2015. Before that, she was a registered nurse at Halifax Health Medical Surgical Bariatric Unit in Daytona Beach, FL. Khawla is dedicated to supporting the overall well-being of her patients in body, mind and spirit.

When I'm not working, I enjoy travel, exploration, visiting new countries or cities, exploring local attractions and landmarks. I enjoy volunteering for local charities and organization and participating in community events. When I have free time, I enjoy baking and cooking, going to the gym, doing yoga. Pilates, and spending quality time with my family and cats.

I strive to provide best care possible by integrating several qualities including empathy and compassion, professional competence, effective communication and patient centered care all while maintaining my patients' best interest first, never forgetting that a patient is a person and ensuring that patients are given sufficient time, commitment, and dedication needed in order to foster overall positive experience that embodies holistic model.
