Ernesto Herfter, MD, is a third-generation doctor and Board-certified family practitioner in south central Denver. Fully bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish, Dr. Herfter specializes in cardiovascular risk assessment and prevention, obesity treatment, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and treatment for opioid and alcohol addiction.
Dr. Herfter earned a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua in Chihuahua, Mexico, and completed a family practice residency at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.
In addition to medical practice, Dr. Herfter enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys running, CrossFit, and skiing.
