Dr. Burkett completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center before completing her residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado, where she served as chief resident for a year. In her free time, Dr. Burkett enjoys gardening and making art, particularly through fabric, watercolor and oil painting.
