What to Do if You Tested Positive
Most people heal from COVID-19 at home with supportive care to ease symptoms. If you tested positive for COVID-19, follow the guidance of your health care provider and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
- Stay home, except to get emergency care
- Separate yourself from others at home, and don’t share any household items
- Monitor your symptoms
- Wear a cloth face covering
- Cover your coughs and sneezes and wash your hands often
Additional Steps If You Tested Positive
Know how to stay safe at home and get care virtual or in-person care for COVID-19.
If Symptoms Worsen, See a Doctor From Home
To visit a doctor from home, call your primary care physician (PCP) to ask about their virtual care options. If you don’t have a PCP — or if it’s after hours or the weekend — you can schedule a real-time video visit with a doctor online in the AdventHealth app.
Get ER Care for Emergency COVID-19 Symptoms
If your symptoms worsen quickly, in-person care may be necessary. Go to your nearest ER if you develop these symptoms:
- Bluish lips or face
- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Persistent pain or pressure in your chest
- Trouble breathing
