Community Benefit Volunteering

Volunteering is our way of living out our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ in every community we serve. These volunteer opportunities allow AdventHealth team members to volunteer during normally scheduled working hours as part of a team activity, staff retreat or by an individual team member with a supervisor's approval.

Our Community Benefit volunteer opportunities address the health issues we identify in each community. When we volunteer with community partners addressing identified health needs, we’re reducing the burden on our health system and strengthening the whole health of our communities.

Community Benefit volunteering can look like:

• AdventHealth leaders volunteering to sit on a local community board position with organizations addressing identified community needs
• Team members sorting and packaging food items for a local food pantry
• Leaders and team members volunteering to speak to students about their job in health care
