AdventHealth joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and students at Young Middle Magnet School for the Buccaneers Youth Leadership Program, a collaborative effort between Bucs players and team staff to uplift students in East Tampa through mentorships, after-school support, and community events.
Focusing on health and wellness, an AdventHealth clinical dietician and physical trainer were on-site to teach students how good nutrition and physical fitness are the foundation to a healthy life. Students also participated in a group workshop with their staff mentors and more than a dozen Buccaneers players participating virtually, learning the importance of developing healthy habits.
At the conclusion of the event, AdventHealth and the Bucs gifted the students educational books and brand new Nike sneakers to help kickstart their journey to living happier, healthier lives.
